Secondary Vocational School in Kragujevac had the honor to host the German ambassador Thomas Scheib and Head of Economic Department at the Embassy Anne-Кristin Piplica, on Wednesday, 1st of June 2022. Delegation of Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany had a chance to get familiar with school work and get insight into effects of support measures of German Development Cooperation in the school aimed at improvement of conditions for youth employment. Some of the topics of discussion with the delegation were dual education, non-formal education of adults and support to Secondary Vocational School withing COVID-19 measures.
German Development Cooperation through projects implemented by GIZ, since 2014 has been supporting Secondary Vocational School in its efforts to modernize education offer, improve human and technical resources, in order to increase employability of young people and provide qualified employees in line with the needs of economy. Since 2020 Secondary Vocational School has been participating in the project “Dialogue on Employment Creation, Initative and Dual Education” through which is improving conditions for theorethical and practical teaching and non-formal trainings for unemployed persons.
